Did you know that the owner of a new well must, between the second and the thirtieth days after putting the pumping system into service, take water samples and have them analyzed by a lab certified by the ministère du Développement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs du Québec.
To meet the requirements of the Regulation on the Extraction of Groundwater, Laboratoire Bio-Services is proposing this package that contains analyses allowing to detect the presence of any of these elements:
Total coliform count
Fecal coliform count
Enterococcus
Atypical colonies
Arsenic
Barium
Calcium
Chlorides
Total hardness
Total iron
Fluorides
Magnesium
Total manganese
Nitrites-nitrates
pH
Sodium
Sulphates
The lab must transmit analysis results to the MDDEP. These analyses may eventually help you sell your property, but especially if they provide you with precious information regarding risks for your health and that of your loved ones.
If water flows into a water network with a flowrate of less than 75 cubic meters per day or if it serves more than 20 people, analyses required within the framework of the commissioning and registration of a distribution network are described in the MDDEP document titled Design Guidelines for Drinking Water Production Facilities. These compulsory analyses shall be performed during long-term pumping tests. Samples shall then be taken after 24, 48 and 72 hours of pumping and results of analysis shall appear in the hydrogeological study report required to apply for departmental authorization.
You may rely on our experience. To this day, we have performed well over ?? intake structure sampling and pumping tests.
